Highlights of the 2026 event: from theory to practice

The 2026 event was characterised, first and foremost, by a palpable buzz on the ground, reflecting a deep-seated need to come together, exchange ideas and take a step back after several months of announcements and rapid developments in the field of AI. Against this backdrop, discussions quickly moved beyond general principles to focus on very practical issues: how to move from astonishment to action, identify the right use cases and develop solutions that can be implemented straight away.

  • Integrated security and compliance (NIS2, DORA, AI Act): the challenge is no longer to merely comply with regulations but to integrate them right from the design stage of systems (‘security by design’) to turn them into an advantage that enhances a company’s appeal.
  • A new approach for IT decision-makers: faced with growing complexity, CIOs shared their best practices to reaffirm their position as strategic players within organisations.

A major new feature of this 7th edition, the ‘Start-ups Ready For IT’ Award was launched to highlight young European technology companies offering solutions that are already operational and ready for deployment.
