Paris, 15 October 2026 - The convergence between IT departments and information security departments is gathering pace. On the ground, decision-makers are expressing a growing need to come together, exchange ideas and jointly decide on their technology projects. This new dynamic is reshaping the Ready For IT event, now renamed “Ready: where CIOs and CISOs decide together”. After seven years of development, this new name reflects the changing expectations of its participants and the broader range of issues they come to address: cybersecurity can no longer be considered in isolation from infrastructure; AI is transforming the way technology is used; and technological decisions now involve both IT and cybersecurity teams working in tandem.

A shift driven by real-world experience

It was the participants themselves who brought about this change. Over the course of successive events, discussions between CIOs and CISO have taken on increasing importance, revealing an expectation that goes beyond the simple sharing of expertise: that of being able to compare their priorities, align their decisions and drive forward joint projects.

Regulatory pressure, the roll-out of artificial intelligence, geopolitical tensions and the growing complexity of infrastructure are accelerating this trend. The boundaries between the responsibilities of CIOs and CISO are becoming increasingly blurred, whilst the trade-offs they face are becoming ever more interdependent.

“It was our discussions with partners and visitors that led us to develop Ready For IT further. We observed a new dynamic emerging from the market: CIOs and CISOs no longer simply want to share their challenges; they want to be able to make decisions together. This demand from the field led us to rethink the event’s positioning. Ready embodies this ambition and provides us with a broader framework to support the projects that are taking shape,” explains Maria Iacono, Director of Ready and Les Assises de la cybersécurité.

Simpler and more memorable, Ready thus preserves the legacy of Ready For IT whilst affirming a broader mission: to become the venue where IT and cybersecurity decision-makers can match their needs against the solutions available on the market.

In 2027, three key pillars to support projects

The next edition, in 2027, will bring this new identity to life. Ready will structure its offering around three key technological pillars, at the intersection of the priorities of CIOs and CISO.

  • Securing information systems: cybersecurity, identity and access management, data protection, backup, business continuity and risk management. The close ties with the Assises de la Cybersécurité ecosystem will enable further discussion on security issues.
  • Modernising IT infrastructures and environments: cloud, infrastructure, networks, data, storage, virtualisation and systems operation. These are all essential building blocks for developing information systems, whilst integrating security requirements right from the project design stage.
  • Automating and deploying new use cases: generative and agent-based artificial intelligence, workflow automation, agent platforms and productivity tools. In particular, Ready intends to further open up its ecosystem to players who develop operational AI applications and support their integration within organisations.

These three pillars underpin both the needs of decision-makers and the responses provided by solution providers. They should enable the latter to connect with stakeholders relevant to their areas of expertise, gain a better understanding of projects in the planning stage, and engage with decision-makers who are actively considering and investing in such projects.

An ecosystem of solutions at the heart of Ready

The brand’s evolution is accompanied by a strengthened ambition for technology partners. Software publishers, cybersecurity solution providers, cloud and infrastructure specialists, data and automation providers, and new entrants in the field of AI: Ready aims to bring together the expertise needed to address the challenges currently facing businesses.

By bringing CIOs and CISO’s together to address shared challenges, the event offers solution providers a framework conducive to more cross-functional dialogue, extending beyond the traditional boundaries of IT and security. It aims to facilitate meaningful connections, align decision-makers’ needs with market solutions, and accelerate the identification of solutions tailored to their projects!

“Avec Ready, nous voulons accompagner ce qui est déjà en train de se jouer dans les entreprises. Les DSI et les RSSI sont confrontés aux mêmes transformations et ont besoin de confronter leurs choix. Notre rôle est de réunir ces décideurs et les offreurs de solutions capables de répondre à leurs enjeux, qu’il s’agisse de cybersécurité, d’infrastructures, de data ou d’IA. C’est cette convergence qui donnera toute sa dimension à Ready 2027”, emphasises Maria Iacono.

By rebranding as Ready, the event is broadening its scope without compromising what has defined its identity: targeted meetings between decision-makers and technology providers, closely aligned with companies’ projects and strategic decisions.

With Ready, the event aims to become the bridge between CIOs and CISO, at a time when the boundaries between their responsibilities are becoming increasingly blurred.
